And I also picked up 2 more short boxes. Now at least I have the comics that were on the floor before the house caught fire bagged, boarded and boxed.

The printer I order came in today as well. Great printer so far except I can't get it to connect wirelessly to the computer. I'm guessing it's the fault of the motels router or something like that. I'm going to get my router out of the house and try it tomorrow just to make sure.

UPS always brings cool stuff.

Today has been an awesome day. Knowing the parts for the Camaro from Summit were going to be delivered today, at 8am I went on over to the house and waited in the RV for the site of that brown truck to come by. I must have looked out the window of that RV a 100 times in anticipation. Well, finally by 12:30pm there he be, the brown truck of UPS. Yet wait, as he's handing me the boxes I notice one shaped like a radiator, hot damn, the radiator came too!I was only expecting two boxes and I got three, that is always awesome. So I sign for it all, on that damn digital screen, which I can't sign on properly. Really, my signature looks like a child that colors outside the lines when I have to sign on a digital screen.

Anyways, I'm not here to just ramble on about cool new parts coming in, I have pictures too.

Man, I love opening boxes with new car parts in them.

The radiator looks amazing. It's not too bright so I'm going to leave it natural and unpainted. Plan to get it in this weekend and test it out. Really looking forward to seeing the car run at a decent temperature in the summer finally. That, and it's always cool to show off new parts at a cruise-in.

Global West aluminum solid body bushings. I needed these for the car, the factory rubber bushings are toast. Either totally squashed or dryrotted and falling apart or just altogether gone.

Hotchkis convertible X-frame brace. Need to check the clearance on the exhaust, though I should have plenty. I'll just have to see.

Hotchkis convertible sub-frame connectors. Going to need to drill out the front attachment point by about an 1/8" or so to fit the Global West body bushings. I'm going to hold off on installing the bushings, X-brace and sub-frame connectors until I get some scrap steel to practice a little welding on. I am not going to have second rate welds on my Camaro. It's been too long since I welded something to just jump in blindly hoping things work in my favor.

Eh? A fouth box? Yeah this day has been great! Wasn't expecting this at all. After opening the stuff UPS delivered in the shop I went back to the RV before heading out to meet a friend at a burger joint (more on that in a bit). And there it was ust sitting there in one of the chairs. USPS was on their gmae today for me too it seems.

Alright, good stuff, good stuff. Initial D 3rd Stage and 4th Stage Parts 1 & 2 and Rumiko Takahashi Anthology volumes 1-4 plus box.

OK, so I went to Andy's (local burger joint) to meet a friend for lunch today. And I don't know what it is, but I must be (almost) a luckier bastard than usual because the girl that was working was flirting with me hard. My day would have been more than amazing if it wasn't for the fact that she was a smoker. Saw her doing so on break at the back of the place. She was cute, but that really turned me off from her. Though I probably could have gotten her to show me her tits. I kid you not. While talking to her the conversation was about tattoos and then she got on to piercings and brought up that her nipples were pierced. No big deal you know? But she brings it up again when she walks outside to look at the stickers on the back glass of my truck. She basically goes on about this and that time she showed this and that guy friend just because they asked. It was as if she trying to get me to do the same. From what I could tell she had what looked to be quite the nice pair under that shirt. But like I said, the smoking is a big turn off.

Hmm, maybe I should go back to that place for lunch again some time soon, heh.

Lum Figma Figure.

Oh look, a brown box

Yum, peanuts.

Oh, wait, another, more colorful box.

Now to get that tissue paper out of the way.

There we go, much clearer.

And the back, with a lot of Japanese I can't read.

Yay for pictures with instructions!

Alright, now we've got her out of the box. But still trapped by plastic.

And here is everything that comes with Lum, including Lum herself.

The entire packaging and contents. I have to give it to Max Factory on these Figma figures. The packaging is pretty nice and character specific. The block to hold all the extra hands is exactly that, handy. Also, I really appreciate the resealable bag. Something I think the Revoltech line could benefit from.

Up next is the good stuff, Lum in action.

Oh hell! Duck!

Damn, that was close. Must have been standing in front of Ataru.

Lum seems to be deep in thought. Has she come up with a new idea to get Ataru to herself?

Ah, classic lucky go Lum floating on air.

The inclusion of Ten is pretty damn cool. Now I hope they make an Ataru Figma. The lighting bolt that comes with Lum would be even cooler if I could zap Ataru with it. OK, so of course I really like this figure, it's Lum! And I don't know what it is, but the recent boom in Lum figures is much appreciate by me. I don't know if I'll be inclined to buy any more Figmas, haven't looked through the available catalog yet either though, but for now I'm pretty satisfied with this being my first and only Figma.

Comic Day 6/23/2010.

Alright, so here's this weeks' comics.

Zatanna #2
Batman Detective Comics #866
Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne #3 of 6
Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard #2 of 4
Dracula #2 of 4
Franken Castle #18
Amazing Spider-Man #635
Hulk #23

Thunderbolts #145
Secret Warriors #17
Avengers #2
Fantastic Four #580
Wolverine Weapon X #14
Wolverine Origins #49
X-Men Legacy #237
X-Factor #206

Jack of Fables TPB volume 7 was out today as well. I grabbed a copy and put it in the folder to hopefully buy next week, or the next light week that comes around.

In other news, while I should have been sleep this morning at 4am, I instead was browsing the internet, and I ended looking at the Lum Figma figure (from Urusei Yatsura (shoot yourself if you didn't know this and watch anime)) again. Well, I pulled the trigger on it and it is now on it's way to my doorstep. Also, while I was at it, I threw down a pre-order for Art of War's Guts Black Swordsman Bloody Version.

And not to forget, but on Monday I ordered up a new aluminum radiator for the Camaro. The old brass radiator just doesn't cut it in this summer heat and I don't want to babysit the temp gauge anytime I get stuck in traffic with the car anymore. I went with Alumitech Reproductions for the radiator and fan kit. From all the positive feedback I saw on the Camaro boards and Chevelle boards it seems like a great choice. What I really like about thier radiators though is the stock appearance of the end tanks. A little black paint on them and you could hide the fact that you're running an aluminum radiator. I don't know if I'm going to paint it yet, I'm waiting to see it first hand and see how bright the natural finish looks.

Comic Day 6/16/2010.

This week's comics had some cool covers. A couple of sexy ones, a music reference and a very green eye. Also, I got my copy of the Wednesday Comics hardcover. This thing is large, not Kramers Ergot large, but still pretty damn big.

Darkwing Duck #1
Joker's Asylum II: Harley Quinn One-Shot
The Spirit (Firstwave) #3
Web of Spider-Man #9
Amazing Spider-Man #633
Incredible Hulk #610

Ultimate X #3
New Mutants #14
Dark Wolverine #87
Deadpool #24
Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #12
New Avengers #1

This last one is for size comparison..... .....and maybe sneaking in Harley twice. As for shots of the interior, they're last since some of them are spoiler worthy.

I went over to Barnes & Noble to do a little perusing of the manga section for this or that and then over to the magazine racks. While looking through the racks I saw the mag to the left. I've never heard of it, but why not, it's a UK mag, so it should be a little different. As for Otaku USA, well I'm not sure how long it'll last, but whenever I stop into B&N to check things out I buy it if there's a new ish. Say what you will of getting information from the web, but it's a bit hard to take the internet to the bathroom.

Spoiler Alert!

Alright, view these next images at your own risk. They show off the art and all, but some of them are towards the end of the particular story they're from. You may not be able to read them, but imagery is a key part of story telling in comics.
